Strawberry Picking

I just got an e-mail from a farm that was about a mile from where I lived in Marble Falls before I move to Seattle. It is strawberry picking time.

For all the time that I lived near that farm, I never went to pick strawberries. I always said I would go, but it just never happened.

I know it is probably too early here in the Pacific Northwest and I don't know if stawberries grow up here, but I think it would be fun to find a place to pick strawberries or something else, maybe black berries?

If you know of such a place, please leave a comment.

Thanks!

It's been forever since I've been, but Biringer Farm is a great one. Here's their link http://www.biringerfarm.com/biringer_berries.html

Hey, maybe I will go pick some for you. I would, too, if I wasn't going off near Cuero this weekend.

I bet there are really, really good strawberries where you live!!!

It will be THREE MONTHS before you can pick berries here! There are a bunch of U-pick farms in the Kent/Auburn valley, including one that's just off of West Valley Highway and Willis Street. I usually just buy the picked berries, though!

Like Carrie said, it'll still be awhile before we can pick berries up here. But I luuuuurve berry season!

speaking of which, later on in the summer, you and I gotta go 'cachin and I'll show you where to get some huckleberries and blueberries :)

Wow! 3 more months? In Texas it will be 95 degree every day then. No strawberry can survive that!

Emiko, I'm all over the doing some geocaching and getting huckleberries and blueberries. Yum!
